Fishing at Lakeside
FISHING AT LAKESIDE
Enjoy a relaxing day fishing in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside at Lakeside Sporting. We have over 9 acres of water spread across four large and well stocked lakes. We currently have 1 lake for coarse and 1 lake for carp and have recently introduced specimen carp, up to 30lbs, to our large bottom lake.
On site facilities include toilets, the Lakeside Café and the Hadfield Guns & Countrywear shop.
We’re open for fishing 7 days a week from 9.00am ’til 5.00pm.

COARSE LAKE
Description
Designed with both the pleasure and coarse angler in mind, this circular lake provides 12 evenly spaced swims around the banks, with one central island present, an area worth targeting!
A fantastic venue for anglers looking to get bites and fish for a multitude of species including both mirror and common carp to low doubles, roach to over 1.5lb, perch to 1.5lb and bream to well over the 2lb mark.
Perfect for introducing new anglers to the sport, as well as providing a great venue for children to come and wet a line whilst keeping their interest high with plenty of action throughout the day.
Depending on the species you intend to target fishing both float tactics in close, or feeder fishing to the middle reach of the lake produces well. Baiting little and often will ensure bites come steady throughout the session and for the angler looking to target the bigger carp fishing light ledger set-ups often score well.

CARP LAKE
Description
A fantastic venue for the angler looking to receive steady action throughout their session and described by some as the ‘runs water’ on site. With no less than 15 swims to choose from, well-spaced around the venue’s banks, there is one island present which is often a great feature to target from swims 1, 15, 14, 13 and 12.
With a good healthy stock of carp present, the mirrors go to mid doubles, and the commons to just over the 12lb currently, however with great signs of growth rate these carp are renowned for giving a great fight and provide fantastic sport for anglers fishing with well-balanced tackle.

SPECIMAN LAKE
Description
Regarded as the specimen lake on site, this intermediate venue boasts 11 swims and two islands, with one of them being accessible via footbridge.
With mirror carp present to over 36lb and common carp to over 25lb this lake is stocked with less fish than the carp lake making it ideal for the avid specimen angler looking for a more challenging water, but for the angler that gets it right the rewards are there to be had.
