What should I wear?

We recommend you wear clothing suitable for the countryside and with the weather in mind. High heels are not recommended. We’ll provide all safety equipment.

What do I need to bring with me?

Just yourself!

Is there disabled access?

Yes, the main Lakeside reception and Café is accessible.

Are there any activities for young people?

Yes, we have lots going on for our under 16 guests, take a look at our Junior Shooting packages.

I’ve never been shooting before, does this matter?

Not at all, whether you’re a seasoned professional or a beginner we’ll tailor the session to your needs.

What facilities are onsite?

We have our Lakeside Café onsite where you can sit by the fire and enjoy a hearty meal during colder months, or sit outside by the lakes enjoying our stunning views of the Leicestershire countryside. We also have the Hadfield Guns shop upstairs where you can browse our comprehensive selection of clothing and shooting equipment. Toilets are located by the Lakeside reception desk.

Can I buy cartridges at Lakeside?

Yes, cartridges can be purchased from the Lakeside reception. Please note, we will need to see proof of your shotgun certificate.

Do I need a license to shoot?

If you aren’t shooting under the guidance of one of our qualified instructors you will need to bring proof of license. We do require people not to be under the influence of any alcohol or illegal drugs.

Can I bring my own gun?

Of course!

Do you have any activities for large groups?

Yes, we have our Group Shoots and our Corporate Packages

What are the benefits of being a member?

Clays are discounted for members, so over a course of a year this can be very beneficial.

What are the rules for fishing at Lakeside?

All anglers must hold a current N.R.A license
Anglers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult
Unhooking mats should always be used
No barbed hooks to be used
No boilies or nuts to be used
No Dog Meat to be used (biscuits are fine)
Please take any and all litter with you or use the bins provided; help keep our beautiful grounds mess free!
